Who We Are

 

Trilogy Group Benefits, LLC was founded in 2009 as a full service corporate benefits broker. Michael A. Alfonso, Sr., President and owner, has been in business since 1997, but has evolved the firm into an agency that specializes in group healthcare, dental and vision as well as ancillary benefits.

 

Trilogy Group Benefits, LLC insures thousands of members throughout the State of Pennsylvania. We maintain our knowledgeable service department in-house; who are always available to offer immediate service and solutions for our clients and their employees. We focus on developing strategies to maintain a high level of benefits for a reasonable premium. We pride ourselves on our commitment to the client relationship. Very often we are considered to be an extension of the company’s Human Resource Department.

We specialize in providing benefits for groups of 2 through 250, small, middle and large market segments. We have several corporate synergies with organizations for groups that have members in excess or 250.  Annually, we complete a comprehensive review of the multiple carriers in the region and create a customized presentation book for each organization that we represent.

We believe that the success of our agency is predicated on the fact that we hold all the members of the organization to the highest ethical standard and professional guidelines. Continuing education is essential to be aware and stay up to date with our rapidly changing industry. A large part of our business comes from referrals from our current client base. Our clients report saving time and often money, while receiving a high level and detailed review, in simple terms. We are frequently commented on a "job well done”.

MICHAEL A. ALFONSO, SR.

President

Group Benefits Consultant

In 1993, Michael A. Alfonso, Sr. graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with a new degree and an old car.  As a result of his relentless desire to learn and improve, today he is the owner and president of Trilogy Group Benefits, LLC.  His firm specializes in providing corporate benefits to businesses throughout the tri-state area.  To date, Trilogy Group Benefits supports more than 350 companies.  Additionally, he has served on several advisory boards ranging from large health insurance carriers such as Health America to small local organizations including the local chapter of National Health Underwriters.

Michael began with the John Hancock Insurance Company in 1997 as an agent providing life insurance,  long-term care insurance, disability insurance and mutual funds. In 1999, Michael moved to New England Financial and worked as an independent insurance agent providing a larger array of financial and insurance products. Additionally, Michael facilitated seminars for Preferred Systems. He traveled throughout Pennsylvania teaching people in the banking industry how to transition into the insurance industry. During this time, Michael became interested in group health care and corporate benefits. He saw a demand for brokers that needed to be educated and empathetic. Working with a mentor, he spent two years learning how to broker group health insurance, acting as a liaison between health insurance companies and businesses to provide both entities with great products at fair prices. Deciding to focus solely on health insurance, again, Michael moved his business and worked with Comprehensive Financial Associates in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania as a investment advisor representative, specializing in corporate benefits. Business grew and Michael saw the need to obtain an independent practice with a singular focus.

In 2009, Trilogy Group Benefits, LLC. was established in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. The focus of the company is based on service, strategies and solutions regarding all aspects of corporate benefits. Trilogy Group Benefits provides companies and businesses of all sizes with group health insurance, group dental insurance, group vision insurance, short and long term disability, group life insurance and group long term care insurance. Additionally, Trilogy Navigates, founded in 2011, is a fee-based service that provides consulting in all health care related topics such as Medicare, Medicaid and Health Care Reform employer/employee education.

Although this growing business keeps Michael very busy, he enjoys spending time with his wife, son and rescue dogs.

 

ANDREW W. BURKHARDT, III

Group Benefits Consultant

Drew is a Group Benefits Broker for Trilogy Group Benefits, LLC. He has been with Trilogy for almost three years - providing our groups with the direction and customer service they so deserve. Drew holds a Pennsylvania Insurance License spending his early career as a Manager in the newspaper industry. Mr. Burkhardt lives in Lancaster with his lovely wife, two teenage daughters and multiple pets. He is also the proud Dad of two older daughters and a beautiful granddaughter. His hobbies include being a “soccer Dad”, gardening and enjoying the culinary arts (to the delight of his family and friends). Drew enjoys family camping and beach trips. 

 

MICHAEL A. BRYAN

Group Benefits Consultant

Michael comes to Trilogy Group Benefits LLC with a PA insurance license after spending 17 years with an international retail chain. Most recently Mike was the East Coast Regional Sales Manager overseeing more than 100 stores and 500 employees. Customer service is his focus and customer satisfaction is his goal. Mike spent his childhood growing up here in Elizabethtown and now currently resides in East Hempfield Township with his wife Rebecca and their three sons, Hunter, Hayden and Dylan. Some of his hobbies include watching his sons play lacrosse, working on cars and playing golf. Mike also enjoys spending time at the beach with his family.

 

PAMELA ZABLOCKI

Group Benefits Consultant

Pamela was the owner of Grandview Insurance Brokers before joining Trilogy Group Benefits. Prior to raising her family, she held the position of a stock and bond trader with her Series 7 license. Born and raised in Lancaster County, she is a graduate of Manheim Township High School.

Pamela is the founder of G.A.B.B. (Grandview Area Business Builders) networking group, and also a member of Lancaster Business Alliance and Lancaster Young Professionals. Pamela is a member of LCBC Lancaster City Campus.

Aside from spending time with her daughter, Pamela enjoys traveling. One of her favorite places is visiting members of her family who live outside of Los Angeles, California. Pamela is an avid sports enthusiast attending many different sporting activities at all levels. She also has a fantasy football team which is one of her favorite “hobbies”. She enjoys playing golf, biking and practicing yoga.

 

BRAD GOLDSMITH

Group Benefits Consultant

In March 2017, Brad Goldsmith recently partnered with our firm! Brad lived in Elizabethtown for over 20 years. He studied at East Texas State University, formerly Ambassador University.  Brad brings over 7 years of experience in the voluntary and health care markets!  Locally, he recently served as a board member with Rheem's Athletic Association and as a member of Lancaster's BIA chapter location.  Brad has 1 son, 2 daughters and a new grandson!  He is an avid sports enthusiast of LAX, soccer, football and baseball.

 

CASSANDRA ERNEST

Client Account Coordinator

Cassie grew up in Elizabethtown, and attended Millersville University where she received a Business degree in Finance. Cassie enjoys iced coffee, rock climbing, and spending time with her family and two shelties. In her free time she coaches gymnastics at GEARS in Elizabethtown.

 

Annie Long

Client Account Coordinator

Annie grew up in Southern Lancaster County and attended Harrisburg Area Community College where she received her Associates degree in Paralegal Studies. Annie's hobbies include spending time with her husband, friends, family, hiking, gardening, and decorating her home. She also enjoys trying different foods and cooking creative meals.

 

Lindsay Weierbach

Administrative Assistant

Lindsay grew up in Lancaster County.  She is a graduate of Northeastern University.  In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her son, fiance and their two dogs.  She is an avid golfer and loves to golf with her son and fiance.

 

Andrew Gamber

Client Account Coordinator

Andrew grew up outside of Washington, D.C., thus becoming a lifelong Redskins fan.  He moved to Lancaster County in 2006 and went to Bloomsburg University where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management.  Aside from spending time with his wife and family, Andrew finds peace in listening to and playing music such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jimi Hendrix.  He is always available to jam with a fellow musician!
